Aqualyx® Fat Dissolving Body Shaping Injections
Aqualyx® is an injectable product which is used to breakdown and dissolve stubborn fat deposits. It is good for targeting specific fat deposits easily without having to resort to surgery. Stubborn areas of fat are those which remain despite exercise and diet regimes

FAT DISSOLVING INJECTIONS
- Bruising, mild swelling and redness is normal for 3-5 days
- Avoid touching the skin for 4 hours
- Avoid application of any skincare product for 24 hours
- Avoid further aesthetic treatments for 2 weeks/li>
- Paracetamol is usually sufficient for analgesia
- Risks: pain, bruising, bleeding, inflammation
- Extremely rare: reaction to product, infection, scarring, skin pigment changes
WHAT HAPPENS DURING A FAT DISSOLVING TREATMENT?
Aqualyx® is a non-surgical solution to help remove stubborn localized pockets of fat. This treatment is for pockets of fat (e.g. love handles) which are difficult to shift even with focused exercise. This consists of injecting Aqualyx® (solution consisting of phosphatidylcholine, a natural substance) which allows the fat breakdown.
1Consent and photograph
We will discuss the indication for fat dissolving injections, its risks and ask you to sign a consent form
2Skin preparation and marking
The skin area is cleaned and depending on the procedure, this may involve some numbing cream or ice being applied.
3The treatment area is injected with Aqualyx®
This consists of injecting Aqualyx® (solution consisting of phosphatidylcholine, a natural substance) and massaging the area which allows the fat breakdown.
4No touching for 4 hours
We will cleanse your skin at te end of the procedure. Do not touch or wash area for 4 hours. After this time you may be advised to massage the treated area in a specific way.
